Southampton have rejected a third Leeds United offer for striker Che Adams, and the news, as expected, hasn’t gone down well with several Whites supporters on social media.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds were ready to pay a ‘substantial loan fee’ as well as a future fee of £20 million if they went on to secure promotion back to the Premier League over the coming months.

However, that wasn’t enough for the Saints, who have reportedly been left bemused by Leeds’ continued attempts to sign the 23-year-old this month.

Adams, who made the move to St Mary’s from Birmingham City in a deal worth £15 million last summer (Transfermarkt), has failed to net a Premier League goal in 671 minutes of action (WhoScored.com).

BBC broadcaster Adam Pope shared the news to the Leeds fans on Wednesday, and plenty of supporters were quick to have their say on Southampton’s decision.

Some were shocked by the Saints’ call to reject a future £20 million deal…

While others now want to see the club move for Saints-linked Jarrod Bowen
