Southampton have been linked with a move for Rangers star Glen Kamara recently, and reports suggest that he could be available for as little as £8 million.
Saints will be out to strengthen their options during the January transfer window, which opened on Wednesday.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side have risen to 12th in the Premier League but could yet dip into the market as they look to avoid the threat of a relegation battle in the second half of the campaign.
Kamara has been touted as a possible transfer target in recent days, and according to claims from The Daily Mail, he could leave Ibrox for just £8 million this month.

The Finland international has established himself as a key figure in Steven Gerrard’s side, and clubs from across Europe appear to be taking notice.

Kamara is having a good season in Scotland, and teams will be queuing up to recruit him if he is indeed available for a meagre price of £8 million.
The 23-year-old does, on paper, fit the typical mould of a player who Southampton would pursue. He is composed on the ball, dynamic and has his best years ahead of him.
Competition for Kamara’s signature will be fierce, however, with The Daily Mail’s report claiming that Arsenal, Juventus, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Brighton and Hove Albion and Sheffield United are all keen.
