Southampton are interested in a January deal to sign Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara as they look to strengthen their squad.
According to The Daily Mail, Southampton are one of a number of teams keen on the Finland international, with Sheffield United and Norwich also said to be eyeing him.
Kamara has been a regular for Rangers since joining the club in January 2019 and has been capped 14 times by Finland at international level.

Southampton do lack strength in depth when it comes to central midfield so it is no surprise to see them looking at potential options in that area of the pitch. Kamara is clearly catching the eye, with three Premier League teams interested, and is bossing the midfield for Rangers up in Scotland – as they battle Celtic for the title.
However, Southampton need to address their defensive issues before they move on to midfield. They have conceded far too many goals this season and adding a defender or two to solidify the backline could help to assure that they are not relegated to the second tier.
If they are able to do that quickly, a move for Kamara could be a shrewd bit of business for the club. At 24, he still has his best years ahead of him and he would add more depth to the squad.
