Southampton have been heavily linked with Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo in recent times, but it seems AC Milan are leading the race for his signature.
According to claims from Fabrizio Romano for Calciomecato, the Frenchman has given the green light to the Serie A giants regarding a possible January move.
Todibo has been linked with a host of clubs, with his game time at Barcelona having been limited under Ernesto Valverde in the first half of the season.

The 19-year-old will not be short of offers in the New Year, but if Milan are able to meet the asking price of at least €20 million, as per Romano’s report, it looks as though he will be heading to Italy.

Todibo is a fantastic young player, and it comes as no real surprise to see more prestigious clubs close in on a deal for him.
He would undoubtedly improve Southampton’s options at the back, but it now appears that a January move is somewhat implausible.
Todibo may not be coming to St Mary’s, but it remains essential that the club bolster their defensive reinforcements when the transfer window opens.
