Southampton and Newcastle United have been linked with Jarrod Bowen in recent weeks, but Hull City are determined to tie him down to a new contract.
According to a report from Hull Live, the Tigers are keen to reward their talismanic winger with an improved deal following his impressive showings in the past year.
Bowen netted 22 times for Hull last season, and as such, interest from the Premier League has gathered.
Saints are reportedly among those keen on signing the winger, whose current contract at the KCOM Stadium expires at the end of the current campaign, with an option to extend by a further year already included in the agreed terms.

Read Southampton’s verdict
Bowen had a very good season for Hull last term and has started in a similar vein this time around. He’s heading towards the typical prime years of his career, and a move to the Premier League is undoubtedly the next step.
Ralph Hasenhuttl has plenty of high-quality attacking options at his disposal already, and while Bowen would complement the likes of Sofiane Boufal, Nathan Redmond and Moussa Djenepo well, his acquisition probably won’t be a priority.
Bowen has all the makings of a good Premier League player; he is intelligent, clinical and makes very good runs in behind defenders.
The winger should definitely pursue a move to the top flight as soon as possible, but whether or not Southampton would be the best destination to aid his development remains to be seen.
