Southampton climbed up to 13th place heading into the international break after a 1-1 draw against Manchester United.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side produced a resilient defensive display to ensure that they took their share of the spoils as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team pushed to clinch an away victory.
United took the lead after just 10 minutes as Daniel James thumped home an exceptional strike beyond the reach of Angus Gunn.
Southampton restored parity in the second half, though, as Jannik Vestergaard rose above Victor Lindelof to head his first goal for the club into the back of the net after a good ball in from Kevin Danso.
However, the young defender would proceed to be given his marching orders. After a late challenge on Scott McTominay, Danso was given his second yellow card, leaving Saints with 10 men for the remaining 20 minutes of the match.
Hasenhuttl’s men held on, though, and capped a positive week with a good result against a top-six favourite.
So, who moved up and who moved down in our Southampton Power Rankings after Gameweek 4? Do we have a new number one?
