Southampton kickstarted their season with a 2-0 win against Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.
Saints headed into the game on the back of two defeats against Burnley and Liverpool, while the Seagulls had an unbeaten start to the campaign following a win against Watford and a draw against West Ham.
It was an evenly-matched affair, but the tide of the game shifted in the first half as Brighton went down to 10 men. Florin Andone saw red after his high, reckless tackle on Yan Valery gave him his marching orders.

The second half was still tight, but moments of brilliance meant that Saints came away with three vital points. Moussa Djenepo, just 78 seconds after coming on, netted a scorching effort from just outside the box to give the visitors a narrow advantage.
In stoppage time, it was 2-0 to Southampton. Some good work down the left from Sofiane Boufal saw Nathan Redmond latch onto the end of a low ball across the face of goal, securing the team’s first points of the season.
So, who has moved up and who has moved down? Do we have a new, best-performing Southampton player at this stage of the season? Take a look at my Power Rankings after Gameweek 3.
