AS Monaco want to sign two midfielders in the late stages of the European transfer window, and they are reportedly still pushing to wrap up a deal for Mario Lemina.
According to claims from French outlet Soccer Link via Twitter, Leonardo Jardim is hopeful that a double signing will be made as he looks to strengthen his midfield.

It seems Adrien Silva is poised to complete a move from Leicester City following his loan at Monaco last season. Meanwhile, Franck Kessie of AC Milan has emerged as a target, as talks over a deal for Lemina continue between the Ligue 1 side and Saints.

It looked as though Lemina’s move to Monaco would merely be a formality recently. However, our stance on the deal appears to be holding things up, and it’s certainly not a bad thing.
The Gabon international’s desire to leave Southampton has been abundantly clear for some months now, but no transfer has materialised this summer. As such, Saints are reportedly only keen to let Lemina leave on loan if an obligatory clause is included ahead of next year’s window.
While it’s not particularly pleasing to see that he’s still here at this late stage, it is good to know that the club are being diligent and insisting that a deal is done on their terms, and their terms only.
Lemina is surplus to requirements, and Ralph Hasenhuttl will undoubtedly want him to move on. However, if negotiations aren’t favourable for Southampton, it seems there are no concerns surrounding whether or not he goes to Monaco or elsewhere.
