Many Southampton fans have been reacting to the news that Oriol Romeu will miss the remainder of the season with a fractured ankle.
The Spaniard’s prognosis was confirmed by Ralph Hasenhuttl (via @SouthamptonFC on Twitter) during his pre-match press conference and comes as a major blow to the Saints, who have been counting the cost of injuries in recent weeks.
The manager has confirmed @OriolRomeu will miss the remainder of the season with a fractured ankle.

Romeu will undergo surgery on the ankle he injured during Tuesday night’s defeat against Leeds United.
The 29-year-old has been a mainstay in Hasenhuttl’s side this season and has appeared in 20 of the Saints’ 25 Premier League matches.
Unsurprisingly, many of the St Mary’s faithful are gutted over the news about the midfield “champ” and have taken to Twitter to express their dismay:
