Southampton are lining up an offer for Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham this window, as per a report from Football Insider.
The Saints are interested in the French playmaker and have been keeping an eye on his situation as other clubs show their own interest too.
Fellow Premier League club West Brom are also reported to the interested in the services of the 24-year-old, as well as French Ligue 1 sides Marseille and Lyon.
Saints boss Ralph Hassenhutl is apparently keen to bring in midfield reinforcements after a poor start to the campaign.
Having seen central midfielders Harrison Reed, Mario Lemina and Pierre-Emile Hojberg depart the club this summer, Ntcham would not need to be shoehorned into the Saints’ squad.
Earlier this year, the same outlet reported Celtic’s apparent valuation of the Frenchman to be £12m, a hefty price tag for someone without Premier League experience.
However, Ntcham has been inspirational ever since arriving north of the border, helping the Scottish giants to an unprecedented run of domestic trophies.
Ntcham has also begun this term on a high as Celtic go in search of ten titles in a row, meaning it may be a tough ask to get the club to part ways with one of their most important assets.
