A number of Southampton fans have taken to Instagram to react to a post from the club wishing Alan Shearer a happy birthday.
Southampton have had some incredible players at the club throughout the years, with one of them being all-time Premier League leading goalscorer.
The forward began his professional career with the Saints, making his debut in the 1987/88 campaign, scoring three times in five games. He went on to make 158 appearances in all competitions for Southampton, scoring 43 goals.
Shearer then joined Blackburn from Southampton in 1992 and, of course, went on to win the Premier League with Rovers before also enjoying a prolific spell with Newcastle.
He ended his career with 260 Premier League goals to his name, although none of them came at Southampton as his time on the south coast was before the start of the Premier League in 1992.
