These Southampton fans react to emotional club post
A number of Southampton fans have reacted to an emotional post by the club on Twitter.
The club have posted a group of pictures of St. Mary’s with the caption “hope to see you soon” amid the news that the Premier League has been suspended indefinitely.
This means that Southampton will not be playing any Premier League games again until the authorities give football clubs the green light to start up again, due to health concerns.
Southampton’s last match in the Premier League was at St. Mary’s, but it ended on a sour note as they lost 1-0 to Newcastle. Allan Saint-Maximin scored the only goal in a game where Alex McCarthy also saved a penalty from Matt Ritchie and Moussa Djenepo was shown a straight red card after help from VAR.
