According to Dezondag, Southampton are one of the teams interested in signing the Danish right-back ahead of next season.
Maehle has seemingly been a Southampton target for some time, with Sky Sports reporting back in December that the club were eyeing up a deal for him.
The Genk star has clearly caught the eye with his performances this season and it will be interesting to see if and when Southampton make a move for him.

Maehle is a 22-year-old right-back who stands at 6ft 1.
He currently plays his football for Genk in the Belgian Pro League.
Club career so far
He began his professional career in Denmark with AaB, making 24 league appearances for the club before signing for Genk in 2017.
Since arriving at Genk, Maehle has played 55 league games for the club – scoring twice.
The right-back has also competed in the Champions League for Genk, facing teams such as Liverpool and Napoli.
International career so far
Maehle, 22, has not yet made his senior bow for Denmark as of yet.
He has, however, represented his country at both under-20 and under-21 level – amassing eight caps and two goals.
His most recent appearance at under-21 level for Denmark came in 2019.

Voetbal Primeur claim that Maehle will be available for a fee in the region of £7.5m this summer.
Genk are reportedly considering letting him go due to his excellent performances warranting a move to a more prestigious league in Europe.

In Belgium, Maehle has been nicknamed “Forrest Gump” due to his hard work and sprinting off the ball.
