Southampton have recently been linked with a move for Olympiacos defender Omar Elabdellaoui ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Saints are reportedly interested in a deal to sign the right-back as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
Right-back is a key position in which Southampton need to strengthen, given the issues the club have had this season. Cedric Soares left in January to join Arsenal on loan and is due to leave on a free transfer in the summer, whilst Kyle Walker-Peters is only on loan and set to return to Tottenham.
This means that Yan Valery will be Southampton’s only senior right-back in the summer and Elabdellaoui could come in to solve that issue in the squad. The experienced campaigner could be there to provide good competition for Valery.
