A number of Southampton fans have reacted to forward Shane Long’s new FIFA Ultimate Team card being released this week.
It was St. Patrick’s Day on Tuesday and FIFA celebrated some of the Premier League’s Irish players with special updated cards, with Long being one of the lucky recipients.
Long’s card is 87-rated, compared to his base 74-rated silver card on the game. He has been given 89 pace, 87 shooting and 87 dribbling – all stats are out of 99.
This also come as Shane Long’s form in real life has picked up in the second half of the campaign. Long started the season on the outskirts of Ralph Hasenhuttl’s squad but has worked his way up the pecking order and is now a regular starter alongside Danny Ings.
The Irish striker has scored three goals in his last eight appearances and is keeping the likes of Che Adams and Michael Obafemi out of the side.
