A number of Southampton fans have reacted to comments from Alex McCarthy ahead of the club’s trip to Norwich this weekend.
Some Saints fans have taken to Twitter to respond to McCarthy’s comments after he said that he is sure of getting a result against Norwich on Saturday.
Southampton lost 1-0 to Newcastle at the weekend, with McCarthy producing a standout performance as he made a triple save and denied Matt Ritchie from the penalty spot.
McCarthy says that Southampton need to go into their three-week break with three points, with the Saints not playing during the weekend before the international break due to their opponent’s being in the FA Cup.
This means that Southampton’s last game of the month is against Norwich this weekend at Carrow Road. Southampton go into the match having lost five of their last six matches in all competitions, whilst Norwich have only lost one of their last five Premier League games at home.
