A number of Southampton fans have taken to Twitter to react to the Daily Echo refuting claims that the club is up for sale.
Daily Echo journalist Dan Sheldon has reported that the club are not officially up for sale, but are instead simply open to new streams of investment from elsewhere.
This comes after The Times reported that Southampton have been put up for sale for a price in the region of £250m, with a broker having been approached to find a buyer.
The Echo, however, claim otherwise and state that they are only looking for investment, rather than being officially up for sale almost three years after Gao Jisheng acquired the club.
Gao bought the club from Katharina Liebherr in August 2017 and Southampton have flirted with relegation ever since, finishing 17th and 16th, in his two seasons at the club so far.
These Saints fans reacted to the contradicting reports.
