A number of Southampton fans have reacted to the latest team news ahead of Southampton’s clash with Newcastle this weekend.
Some Saints fans have taken to Twitter to react to the injury update given by Ralph Hasenhuttl before the game on Saturday.
Speaking to BBC Solent’s Adam Blackmore, Hasenhuttl confirmed that Stuart Armstrong, Will Smallbone and Nathan Redmond have all been ruled out of the game.
Armstrong is suffering from concussion after taking a blow to the head against West Ham last weekend. Smallbone, meanwhile, has been ill throughout the week and is not fit enough to return to action in the Premier League. Redmond was ruled out for around a month recently, so could still be out for a few weeks as of yet.
Southampton have lost four of their last five matches in all competitions and could be looking to turn their fortunes around against Newcastle.
