A number of Southampton fans have mocked the club after a post on Twitter of images from the club’s training sessions ahead of their clash with Newcastle.
Some Saints supporters have taken to Twitter to respond to the post and make light of the club’s recent defeats.
The Saints have won just one of their last six matches in all competitions. They have also lost four of their last five, including a 3-1 defeat to West Ham last weekend. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side struggled defensively as Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio and Sebastien Haller scored the goals for the Hammers at the London Stadium.
Southampton now host Newcastle at St. Mary’s on Saturday as they look to bounce back. They did win their last home game, against Aston Villa, so they have a chance of recording back-to-back home wins for just the second time this season in the Premier League.
These Southampton fans have been reacting to the post on Twitter.
