A number of Southampton fans have reacted to a throwback post from the club of Kelvin Davis’ iconic performance against Leeds in 2012.
Some Saints fans have taken to Twitter to enjoy the footage of some of Davis’ highlights from the match.
With Southampton chasing promotion to the Premier League, Davis produced an unbelievable display between the sticks during a 1-0 win at Elland Road. He made a string of impressive reaction stops to keep Leeds at bay, as Southampton won the game and went on to seal promotion.
Davis, who is now a member of the coaching staff, made over 300 appearances for Southampton between 2006 and 2016. He also played every single minute of Southampton’s back-to-back promotions from League One and then the Championship, before featuring just 10 times in the Premier League the following season.
