A number of Southampton fans have reacted to the news that the club have not yet offered Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg a new deal.
Some Saints supporters have taken to Twitter to say that they would not be upset if Hojbjerg were to leave, despite the update refuting claims that he has rejected a contract extension.
Football Insider had reported that Hojbjerg has turned down Southampton’s attempts to tie him down to a long-term deal. The report claimed that Tottenham have made Hojbjerg a priority target for the summer window, with the midfielder’s contract expiring in the summer of 2021.
However, BBC Solent’s Adam Blackmore says that Hojbjerg has not been offered a contract and talks will not take place until Southampton are on 36 points.

The Saints are currently on 34 Premier League points, which means that they are one win away from being able to discuss new deals for players and Ralph Hasenhuttl.
