A number of Celtic fans have reacted to the news that Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster is reportedly willing to lower his wage demands in order to seal a move to Celtic.
According to Carl Anka of The Athletic, Forster is prepared to take a wage cut to sign for Celtic on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
Forster is currently on loan to Celtic from Southampton, but would be interested in staying there beyond the summer. The Englishman has been Celtic’s number one since returning to the club, featuring in both the Scottish Premiership and the Europa League.
Southampton already have two England international goalkeepers at the club, with Angus Gunn and Alex McCarthy currently competing against each other.
This means that Southampton could potentially be willing to let Forster leave on a permanent deal in the summer without it affecting the squad and Ralph Hasenhuttl’s plans.
These Celtic fans reacted to the news and were delighted by Forster’s intentions.
