These Southampton fans react to Hasenhuttl’s celebration against Villa
A number of Southampton fans have taken to Twitter to celebrate Ralph Hasenhuttl’s reaction to Stuart Armstrong’s goal against Aston Villa.
Southampton beat Villa 2-0 at St. Mary’s at the weekend, with Shane Long and Armstrong scoring the goals for the Saints either side of half-time.
The Saints were 1-0 up deep into stoppage time and Villa goalkeeper Pepe Reina came up for a corner, only for Southampton to clear the ball up to Che Adams. He then played an exceptional cross-field ball perfectly into the path of Armstrong, who calmly stroked the ball into an empty net to seal the win.
After the game, Southampton’s official Twitter account posted a clip of Hasenhuttl’s live reaction to the goal, with the Saints boss sprinting onto the pitch in joy after the ball hit the back of the net, safe in the knowledge that the points had been secured.
