A number of Southampton fans have taken to Twitter to say what they like most about midfielder Stuart Armstrong.
The Scottish international scored his third Premier League goal of the season against Aston Villa at the weekend, in just his 11th start in midfield.
He struck in stoppage time after Villa goalkeeper Pepe Reina decided to come up for a corner. Southampton dealt with the Villa set-piece and Che Adams found Armstrong with an inch-perfect through ball to give him an empty net to pass the ball into from 20 yards.
Armstrong played the full 90 minutes but was still able to bust a gut to sprint the length of the pitch in order to score the goal. This highlights his hard-working, energetic, nature in the Southampton side.
