Liverpool are reportedly set to allow Adam Lallana to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season.

According to The BBC, Lallana will join a new club rather than remain at Anfield beyond the summer.

Sky Sports have also reported that Lallana is due to leave Liverpool and that he has been contacted by Leicester. The Foxes are interested in signing Lallana, with Brendan Rodgers having managed the England international during his time with Liverpool.

Lallana, of course, started his career at Southampton and made over 250 appearances in all competitions for the club. He then joined Liverpool in 2014 and has scored 22 goals in 175 games for the Reds – including one goal in 19 appearances this season, against Manchester United in a 1-1 draw.

These Southampton fans reacted to the news, seemingly against the idea of him returning to St Mary’s…

Would Lallana be a good signing?
