Southampton were left frustrated as they lost 2-1 to Burnley in the Premier League over the weekend.
The Saints have now gone four games without a win, although in that time they faced Spurs twice and Liverpool once, along with Burnley. Their last victory came away to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park last month.
Despite losing to Burnley, Southampton actually moved up in the Premier League table. Newcastle’s 4-0 loss to Arsenal resulted in Southampton overtaking Steve Bruce’s side on goal difference, lifting the Saints up to 12th in the rankings.
There was an incredible moment very early on in the match against Burnley, though, as the away side took the lead in the opening minutes. A corner from Ashley Westwood was curled in towards the near post and Danny Ings – for reasons unknown – decided to move out of the way and let it go in.
