The FA have reportedly asked Charlie Austin to explain himself following comments directed at Southampton fans on social media over the weekend.
Austin took to Twitter on Saturday to hit out at Southampton’s supporters, by claiming that they do not support the team when they need it.
He stated that the fans only sing when the team scores, before using several expletives.
According to The Athletic, He now has three days to write back to the FA explaining his actions, upon which The FA will then have three days to decide on whether or not they will punish the 30-year-old for his actions.
