Southampton have been dealt a huge blow as manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has confirmed that Nathan Redmond is set to be out for up to two months.

Hasenhuttl revealed after Southampton’s loss to Burnley that Redmond will be out for 1-2 months with an injury, after he was left out of the matchday squad for the game.

The Saints lost 2-1, with Ashley Westwood and Matej Vydra scoring the goals for Burnley, whilst Danny Ings scored his 18th of the season for Southampton.

Redmond had been in impressive form of late, with one goal and two assists in his last four appearances for the club. He scored and assisted a goal against Crystal Palace in a 2-0 win for the Saints and teed up Danny Ings for his strike in the 3-2 defeat to Tottenham in the FA Cup.
