Southampton let a 2-1 lead slip with 15 minutes to go as they lost 3-2 to Tottenham in the FA Cup on Wednesday.
The Saints were knocked out of the competition as a late penalty from Heung-Min Son completed a turnaround for the hosts to send them through to the next round.
An own-goal from Jack Stephens had put Spurs in front early on, but goals from Shane Long and Danny Ings gave Southampton the lead. Jose Mourinho’s side then rallied to win the match, with Lucas Moura equalising before Son scored from the spot in the 87th minute to seal the win.
Ings’ goal was his 17th of the season in all competitions, and it was something special. Nathan Redmond picked the ball up in his own half and embarked on an incredible run past multiple Spurs defenders before playing Ings in, with the forward curling a clinical finish into the bottom corner past Hugo Lloris.
These Spurs fans reacted to Ings’ performance, with many eager to see the club try and sign the striker.

Twitter: @jonathandveal83 Danny Ings.. He would be a great addition to our squad if we could get him in the summer (@mackyd78)
