Southampton were dealt a blow against Tottenham on Wednesday as midfielder James Ward-Prowse was stretchered off in the 40th minute.
The Saints were knocked out of the FA Cup as Tottenham came away with a 3-2 win, thanks to an own goal from Jack Stephens and strikes from Lucas Moura and Heung-Min Son.
Ward-Prowse went down after a challenge by Ryan Sessegnon near the touchline, with the former falling to the floor clutching his right knee in agony. It did not appear to be a malicious challenge from Sessegnon, who caught Ward-Prowse on the follow-through, as he was quick to check on the midfielder.
Ralph Hasenhuttl was forced to play Ward-Prowse at right back with Yan Valery and Kyle Walker-Peters unable to feature, with the Austrian boss then moving Jack Stephens to right-back and bringing on Jannik Vestergaard to partner Jan Bednarek.
These Southampton fans reacted to the shocking injury to Ward-Prowse.
