Southampton were knocked out of the FA Cup on Wednesday as they lost 3-2 to Tottenham in a replay.
Spurs took an early lead as Tanguy Ndombele’s strike from distance deflected off Jack Stephens’ leg and landed in the bottom corner.
Shane Long then deservedly sent the Saints in level at half-time as he followed up on a save from Huge Lloris to slot into an empty net.
The Saints then went 2-1 up through individual brilliance from Nathan Redmond and Danny Ings. Redmond carried the ball through a number of Spurs defenders before passing to Ings, with the forward curling an excellent shot into the bottom corner.
However, Spurs were able to seal the win with goals from Lucas Moura and Heung-Min Son sending them through to the next round of the competition.

Ings has now scored 17 goals in all competitions for Southampton this season, with 14 coming in the Premier League since his permanent move from Liverpool last summer.
