Southampton and Tottenham will be forced to play each other for the fourth time this season after drawing 1-1 in the FA Cup.
The two sides will need to settle the tie in a replay, which could take place during the allotted Premier League winter break, possibly disrupting any plans the Saints had for that time.
Angus Gunn made an excellent save to deny Lucas Moura from making it 1-0 in the first-half, with Danny Ings also seeing an effort cleared off the line.
Heung-Min Son did then make it 1-0 as Giovanni Lo Celso beat five Southampton defenders in the build-up, with the former smashing the ball into the bottom corner.
After a spate of misses from Danny Ings, the English forward turned provider late on to tee up Sofiane Boufal for the equaliser. The substitute ran onto Ings’ pass and fired the ball into the top corner.
