That result moved Saints into the top-half of the Premier League, although attentions turn to whether the side can go on a cup run this weekend.
In the third round, Southampton overcame Championship side Huddersfield Town 2-0 at St Mary’s thanks to goals from youngsters Will Smallbone and Jake Vokins.
It will be interesting to see if the manager sticks with a rotated side for this tougher tie or whether the improved league position will lead to a stronger side being put out in order to fight on multiple fronts.
Cedric Soares, Jannik Vestergaard and Shane Long all join Yan Valery on the treatment table for this clash while it isn’t yet clear if Jan Bednarek will be fit enough to feature.
