Saints fans laud Redmond’s strike against Palace
Nathan Redmond handed Southampton a 1-0 lead in their trip to Crystal Palace on Tuesday night.
The winger unleashed a thumping effort from distance as he lashed the ball beyond the reach of Vicente Guaita in the Eagles’ goal.

Redmond has been a regular starter under Ralph Hasenhuttl this season but had not found the back of the net since his strike in the 2-0 win over Chelsea on Boxing Day.
He struck the bar against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend, but he was dealt with no such misfortune at Selhurst Park as he netted in fine fashion.
The goal takes his tally up to four for the season, and he will be determined to build on this when Southampton welcome Tottenham Hotspur to St Mary’s in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
After finding the top corner against Palace, these Saints fans were full of praise for Redmond…
