Southampton will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they visit Crystal Palace on Tuesday evening.
Saints’ unbeaten run came to an end at St Mary’s on Saturday afternoon in a 3-2 defeat to Wolves despite going into half-time 2-0 up.
Palace earned a very good point at Manchester City in a 2-2 draw last time out which made it four league draws in a row for Roy Hodgson’s side.
The first of those draws came in the reverse fixture against Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side at St Mary’s which ended 1-1 in a lively affair.
There could be added motivation for Saints on Tuesday knowing that a win will move them above Palace who currently sit two points ahead in 9th place.
Hasenhuttl told the press on Monday that Jan Bednarek could be ruled out of this clash with an Achilles injury which could be a big blow for Saints given that the 23-year-old has started every Premier League game since the Austrian manager arrived.
