Frank Lampard ‘keeping an eye’ on Ryan Bertrand
Frank Lampard is ‘keeping an eye’ on Southampton left-back Ryan Bertrand.
That’s according to the Daily Mail, who claim that Leicester City and Inter Milan are also monitoring the former Chelsea academy graduate.
The Daily Mail claim that the Foxes have identified the 30-year-old as a replacement for Ben Chilwell, with Leicester preparing to lose the 23-year-old to Chelsea over the summer.
However, it looks as if Lampard could well reportedly bring Chilwell to Stamford Bridge in the summer and then move for Bertrand, should he need to add two left-backs to his ranks.

The links to Bertrand have certainly caught us off guard, and we’re not entirely sure Lampard will need to add his former Blues teammate to his left-back ranks, should he sign Chilwell.
Bertrand made 56 appearances during his nine-year professional stay at Stamford Bridge before the Blues sold him to the Saints in 2015 in a deal worth around £12 million, as per Transfermarkt.
Since then, Bertrand has been a regular for the Saints, making 161 appearances for the club in all competitions.
He enjoyed a solid display against Chelsea last month in the Saints’ 2-0 win, making two tackles, one interception and one clearance, resulting in a Whoscred.com rating of 6.77.
We feel as though the England international would be better suited staying on the south coast with the Saints, though.
If he returned to Chelsea, we feel that he would play second fiddle to Chilwell, which could then result in him losing out on regular game time for the remainder of his career.
However, staying put with the Saints would probably allow him to continue turning out on a regular basis, cementing his place as a club favourite in the process.
