Southampton are among a host of clubs interested in moving for Bristol City midfielder Josh Brownhill in January, according to claims from TEAMtalk.
Saints, along with Burnley, Brighton and Hove Albion and Bournemouth, are said to have emerged as potential suitors for the playmaker, whose form has earned him plenty of admirers.
Brownhill operates in the middle of the park and has proven to be a crucial player for the Robins this term.

Brownhill is having a good season in the Championship, and he is ready for the step up to the Premier League.

Saints need to be busy in the January transfer window and strengthening their options in the middle should be high up on their agenda.
The likes of James Ward-Prowse and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg have arguably grown too comfortable in the starting line-up, and recruiting competition for the places in the midfield would be wise.
Brownhill has been excellent for Bristol City and could possess the necessary quality to provide Ralph Hasenhuttl with a quality option for the here and now, as well as the future.
