Che Adams has had a difficult start to life at Southampton following his £15 million move from Birmingham City in the summer.
The forward found the back of the net on 22 occasions for the Blues in the Championship last season and looked sharp for his new club in pre-season.
However, he has not yet opened his account for Saints in competitive fixtures, with his game time having been limited in recent weeks by Ralph Hasenhuttl.
Danny Ings is in red-hot form and is clearly Southampton’s first-choice forward, but both Shane Long and Michael Obafemi have been preferred to Adams of late.
These fans, though, are keen to see the 23-year-old in action when he returns to the Midlands to face Aston Villa on Saturday…

Read Southampton’s verdict
Ings and Long have worked fairly well together as a partnership, but it would be good to see Adams handed another chance.
He struggled to fully adapt to life in the Premier League at the beginning of the season but still showed positive signs; he was desperately unlucky not to have scored twice in a fantastic 1-0 win at Sheffield United.
Adams has been given minutes here and there since he lost his place in the line-up back in September, and with a busy run of games ahead, it may be time for him to return.
