Southampton could make another move for Genk star Joakim Maehle after failing with their initial efforts to sign the defender last January.
Saints appear to be in the market for another right-back, with Cedric Soares poised to depart at the end of the campaign when his contract expires.
Maehle is enjoying a strong season with Genk in the Jupiler Pro League and looked sharp during their Champions League group stage campaign.
The Denmark international looks to have a bright future ahead of him, and these Saints fans have been reacting to the news that he could be a target for the club in January…

Replacing Cedric is surely a priority next month. The Portugal international has been terrible for a number of games now, and recruiting a new right-back will be important.
Maehle is set to be a man in demand, but a move to the Premier League could be of interest as he bids to elevate his game to the next level.
Saints have to be busy in January and signing the 22-year-old would be a good place to start.
