Leicester City appear to have stormed into the lead in the race to sign Jarrod Bowen, who has been linked with Southampton.
The Foxes, according to The Sunday Mirror, as cited in a report from Leicestershire Live, are at the front of the queue to recruit the Hull City star in the upcoming January transfer window.
Bowen was exceptional for the Tigers last season, netting on 22 occasions in the Championship, and has already found the back of the net 15 times this term.
The King Power Stadium is the winger’s ‘most likely destination’, despite interest from Southampton, Newcastle United and Leeds United.

Read Southampton’s verdict
Bowen is a fantastic player who has a massive future ahead of him. It’s for that reason that clubs like Leicester are keen.
Southampton could use some more firepower in the final third, and the winger would undoubtedly fit the bill. However, funds are likely to be limited, so strengthening the back-line will have to be the top priority in January.
Bowen is destined for the Premier League, and it will be interesting to see how he fares if he does get a move in the New Year.
