Leganes manager Javier Aguirre has revealed that Guido Carrillo is nursing a fatigue-related injury.
The striker has struggled to make a clear impact during his second loan spell with the Spanish club, with Mauricio Pellegrino having been sacked earlier this season.
Carrillo has been largely rotated with other strikers in Leganes’ squad, but Aguirre has confirmed, as per AS, that he will be unavailable in the immediate future.

The 28-year-old is believed to have fallen to fatigue during an intense set of training sessions at the La Liga outfit, causing an overload on his muscles.

Carrillo has hardly ever been a prolific goalscorer, but his form at Leganes this season will do little to convince other potential suitors of his abilities.
Saints desperately need to get him off the books permanently, but whether or not they will recoup even a quarter of the £19 million they spent to sign him in January 2018 seems somewhat unlikely.
Carrillo will, for now, just have to focus on getting himself back to full fitness for the second half of the season.
