Lemina suffers knee ligament injury
Mario Lemina joined Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray on a season-long loan deal.
The midfielder hasn’t made the best impression so far in Turkey and has now injured ligaments in his knee, according to a report on Turkish news outlet AA.com.
The 26-year-old has been receiving treatment for the injury over the international break and the extent of the problem is still unknown.
There were reports earlier this season that Galatasaray were plotting to send Lemina back to Southampton in January, and after this injury, that is even more of a possibility.
Why is the injury a blow for Southampton?

It is a blow for the Saints because it means that he could be sent back to them earlier than expected.
Manager Ralph Hasenhuttl doesn’t have Lemina in his plans at the club and despite his talent and ability, he’s failed to prove himself on multiple occasions.
However, the Saints are struggling badly at the moment and getting Lemina back could be a blessing in disguise.
