Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has labeled the club’s performance as “simply not good enough” after they lost 2-1 to Everton on Saturday.

Hasenhuttl has described the result as “awful” after goals from Tom Davies and Richarlison secured the three points for the away side.

READ SOUTHAMPTON VERDICT

There is no denying that Hasenhuttl is struggling at Southampton this season. You only have to look at the table and the results in the Premier League to infer this, but you also have to remember what he is working with. The squad does not appear good enough for this division, with too many players consistently underperforming.

Hasenhuttl has tried to switch things up and try different players and formations, but little seems to be working. Changing manager and bringing in someone like Sam Allardyce brings no guarantees either, so it seems best to stick with Hasenhuttl and give him a chance to keep this side in the Premier League.
