Southampton have lost their Head of Performance Analysis Natasha Patel to the New York Red Bulls.
The MLS club confirmed that they had appointed Patel following her eight years of service to Saints.
Having initially started as an analyst for Southampton’s academy teams, her fine work earned her a position as the club’s Head of Performance Analysis in 2016, a role which she will now occupy with the New York Red Bulls.
Patel, as per the report from the American outfit’s official website, worked closely with Saints’ first-team players and coaches to help towards preparation for upcoming matches and also analysis of recent outings.

There has been a lot of change behind the scenes at Southampton in the past year; from managers to analysts to board members, plenty have headed for the exit door.
Patel appeared to play an important role in the preparation work that occurs behind the scenes at St Mary’s, and following her eight-year involvement with the club, it’s sure to be a considerable blow.
Hopefully, Southampton will promote from within or externally recruit a replacement to aid the likes of Ralph Hasenhuttl in reviewing and analysing the footballing matters at first-team level.
