Fraser Forster helped himself to a clean sheet in the Europa League on Thursday night as Celtic defeated Cluj 2-0.
The goalkeeper joined the Hoops on a season-long loan from Southampton in the summer – five years after he departed Parkhead for St Mary’s – and has established himself as a key player under Neil Lennon.
Celtic have improved following Forster’s arrival at the club, and he turned in a composed display as goals from Odsonne Edouard and Mohamed Elyounoussi, also on loan from Southampton, sealed a 2-0 win in the Europa League.
These Hoops fans are happy to have the experienced shot-stopper back at the club…

Read Southampton’s verdict
Forster has needed this move for a couple of years, and it’s good to see that he’s taking his chance.
Whether or not he has a future at St Mary’s remains to be seen, but it will definitely come as a positive for the club to note that he is finally finding his feet on the big stage once again.
If Forster can continue to shine, Saints will have a better chance of selling him permanently, and for a sizeable transfer fee. Perhaps Ralph Hasenhuttl would consider reintegrating him, too, if he proves himself at Celtic this season…
