Fraser Forster has been making a good impression since returning to Celtic on loan this summer.
The goalkeeper was deemed surplus to Ralph Hasenhuttl’s requirements for the season, with Angus Gunn and Alex McCarthy preferred as the senior options in the squad.
Celtic jumped at the chance to re-sign their former goalkeeper, and it’s safe to say that their fans have been impressed with how he has started his second spell with the Scottish champions…

Read Southampton’s verdict
Forster has always been a capable goalkeeper, even when he has struggled to convince in a Southampton shirt.

The main issue was inconsistency; for every world-class performance he made for Saints in his final years, two or three substandard ones followed.
However, it seems he is finding his feet at Celtic once again and is slowly but surely regaining the confidence that made him such an impressive goalkeeper some years ago.
Hopefully, he can maintain this level of form and push for a permanent return to Scotland.
