Southampton will be looking to get their first home win of the season when they host Bournemouth on Friday night.
Saints have been on a good run of form recently following their 1-0 win at Sheffield United on Saturday, which made it four games unbeaten in all competitions.
That includes 1-0 wins at Brighton and Fulham – in the Carabao Cup – as well as a 1-1 draw at home to Manchester United before the international break.
If Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side manage to score against the Cherries on Friday, they will equal their best-ever home goalscoring run in the Premier League when they scored in 17 straight games at the Dell between August 1992 and April 1993.
With both sides in the top half and on seven points, the winner of this game will go into third place in the Premier League having played a game more than the rest of the division’s teams.
Eddie Howe’s side won their last match 3-1 at home to Everton and have plenty of attacking players who can cause the Saints defence problems.
Kevin Danso returns from his suspension for this game, and Nathan Redmond could be back in contention.
These predicted line-ups have proven to be difficult so far this season, with Hasenhuttl often changing the formation and bringing new personnel into the side, evidenced by his choice of playing Moussa Djenepo at left wing-back last weekend.
Nevertheless, here’s how we predict the side to line up.
