Where are they now? The Saints team that won the U21 Premier League Cup in 2015

Southampton’s conveyor belt of exciting talent has been relatively stop-start in recent years. Some hugely impressive youngsters have developed and emerged in the first-team picture, but others have not had the same fortune.

Plenty was expected from the class of 2014/15. The Under-21 side performed well throughout the season and even won the Premier League Cup final over two legs against Blackburn Rovers.

With more than 12,000 fans in attendance at St Mary’s, Saints won the second leg 2-1 as a decisive stoppage-time strike from Sam Gallagher secured the trophy.

Harrison Reed was sent off just before normal time concluded, but 10-man Saints went on to take the silverware.

Ryan Seager gave the hosts the lead before an own goal from Matt Targett sent the tie into extra time.

So, taking a look back to the team that lifted the U21 Premier League Cup in 2015, what are the players up to nowadays?

Join us as we assess the players who defeated Blackburn in the second leg.
