The midfielder has been pushing to leave the club throughout the summer transfer window, and on the day of the European deadline, it seems he could finally get his wish.
Lemina has not been training with the first-team squad at Southampton and does not appear to be in the plans of Ralph Hasenhuttl.

It’ll be a relief for everyone to see Lemina head out the exit door. In his current attitude, he serves no purpose here, and shifting him for the season, at the very least, is the best course of action.

Lemina may have been keen to stay in one of Europe’s top five divisions, but the prospect of Champions League football at Galatasaray will undoubtedly persuade him that a move to Turkey may be wise.
For Saints, they lose a high-quality midfielder. However, his wages will no longer be completely covered by the club, and an unhappy, potentially disruptive figure will be offloaded.
Hopefully, discussions between Saints and Galatasaray will be tied up, and Lemina can have a good season in the Super Lig ahead of a possible permanent exit next summer.
