Southampton will be looking to make it three wins in a week when they host Manchester United on Saturday for the lunch-time kick-off.
Saints come off the back of wins against Brighton in the Premier League and Fulham in the Carabao Cup – 2-0 and 1-0 respectively – and will now hope to get off the mark at St Mary’s for the season.
Prior to these last two results, Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side had a difficult start to the campaign with a heavy defeat at Burnley and a narrow home loss against Liverpool.
Manchester United come off the back of a disappointing home defeat to Crystal Palace, which left them on four points from their opening three fixtures; a win for Saints on Saturday would, therefore, mean they move above United in the league.
Despite progressing into the third round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, there were worrying scenes for Saints fans after Nathan Redmond and Michael Obafemi had to come off injured.
Hasenhuttl revealed in his pre-match press conference that Redmond and Obafemi will miss this clash; as will Moussa Djenepo, who scored the first goal against Brighton last week.
Here’s how we predict the Southampton side to line-up.
